Effective Science Teaching - 1225 Words

Science is, by its nature, inquiry based and science knowledge is built through processes in which discoveries of the natural world are made (Abruscato, 2000). It utilizes discovery and scientific thinking process to explore and learn knowledge and skills. Learning by doing is the new efficient method in teaching science. For kindergarten, this method leads to better understanding of science concepts and builds skills that children will use in future life .What a child can do with assistance now, they can later do on their own (Vygotsky, 1978). John Dewey (1916) stated that children must be engaged in an active quest for learning and new ideas. Inquiry is important in educating kindergarteners because it not only keeps them interested in lessons but also helps them retain more information when performing exploration and investigation. Children are naturally motivated to learn and actively seek out information to help their understanding (Piaget, 1950).The success of students who par ticipate in hands- on inquiry activities suggests that if students have first hands experience with science, concepts are easier to understand and apply and students are generally more favorable to science and have better understanding of the nature of science .Within a conceptual framework, inquiry learning and active learner involvement can lead to important outcomes in the classroom. In kindergarten, students who are actively making observations, collecting results and drawingShow MoreRelatedJean Piaget‚Äà ´s theory of child development along with effective learning methods and teaching strategies used in secondary school classrooms with particular attention paid to science5758 Words   |  24 Pagesï » ¿Section A- Literature Review Jean Piaget’s theory of child development along with effective learning methods and teaching strategies used in secondary school classrooms with particular attention paid to science A child’s developing mind1,2,3 Without a doubt, Jean Piaget (1896-1980) was one of the most influential child psychologists. Online Classes Vs. Traditional Style Writing Classrooms

As technology evolves, the traditional style writing classrooms should do so as well. Students are used to the typical routine, in which an instructor lectures and hands out assignments. However, is that really the most effective way of teaching for all students? Teachers neglect the fact that not all students learn the same way. In learning this, I purpose some changes that could be made in order to increase learning effectively such as; the choice of physical work verses online work, communications and feedback with students, and essays. As we continue with the future, online classes are becoming more and more popular. Students are able to work and continue education with more flexibility. The most common problem with the online class is communication, as well as learning is not always successful. On the page, they tended to concentrate more on following the text.†(Konnikova. Par. 3). Perhaps instead of just an online class, an instructor combine the two. Some parts of the class, such as video lectures should be presented online, and other things like homework or work be done in class. The first more important issue that needs to be addressed is physical work versus online work. Instead of just showing up to a classroom to listen to a lecture, theShow MoreRelatedOnline Classes vs Traditional Classes944 Words   |  4 PagesOnline Classes versus Traditional Classes Technology and education has given students many choices in how they obtain their education such as online classes. Perception Portfolio In Property Investment -Myassignmenthelp.Com

Question: Discuss About The Perception Portfolio In Property Investment? Answer: Introducation From the evaluation of above table, it could be identified that the project is viable as NPV is positive and IRR is more than cost of capital. Therefore, the company needs to accept the project, as it will increase gain of the organisation. The profit is due to the high cash inflow incurred from the new project. However, due to lack of sufficient information overhead cost and rent cost is not used in the valuation process. Therefore, it is assumed that overhead cost is already incurred in the valuation, where no separate overhead cost is used for the calculation. In addition, the rent cost is not taken into consideration, as the company has space available, which could be used for the project and no extra cost needs to be incurred. Some researchers stated that investment appraisal techniques allow organisation to identify financial viability of the proposed investment[1]. The initial investment is derived by adding research and development cost, Plant and machinery cost, and after-tax value of the owned equipment. This help in detecting the initial investment which is conducted for starting the project. The tax valuation and deprecation of old machine is not provided in detail in the assessment, where the old machine is used for the project and no future evaluation of the deprecation is been conducted. The material cost and selling price of the project is provided in the assessment, which helps in deriving the overall cash inflow and outflow conducted by the new project. The fixed cost of the project is mentioned, which comprises of overhead cost incurred during the operations. The working capital of the project is also mentioned, which comprises of the initial investment conducted by the project and is recorded after the completion of four years. The entire information, which is been used in the preparation of the net present value is depicted and cr itically analysed. Using sensitivity analysis and scenario analysis to improve capital budgeting analysis: From the overall evaluation of the scenario analysis increment in with selling price or quantity could eventually allow the organisation to generate profits from the project. Therefore, with the increment in volumes and selling price the project could help in improving the level of profits, which could be generated from investment. In this context, some researchers mentioned that scenario analysis mainly allows the organisation in detecting the level of quantity and price that needs to be maintained by the project for achieving a profitable condition. Higher income from the project is achieved by raising the levels of selling price and production units. Reference Baum, Andrew E., and Neil Crosby.Property investment appraisal.
