BDD should not be treated by having plastic surgery. It necessarily to be treated by a mental wellness professional. The ASPS does not recommend decorative surgery for teens that are accustomed to mood swings or erratic behavior, who guy drugs and/or alcohol, or who are existence treated for a mental ailment (Markowitz, 2010, para. ). on that point are some unconscionable plastic surgeons who may trespass on a adolescent who is obsessed with their appearance. In 2010, there were 4,153 breast augmentation procedures on women eighteen and down the stairs, which accounts for 1. percent of the numerate number of b reast augmentation procedures in the united States (ASAPS, 2012, para. 5). According to Diana Zuckerman, Ph. This raises questions about the mental health of women who want implants. on that point are no laws in the joined States governing the token(prenominal) age for cosmetic procedures. The only real law pertaining to teens and plastic surgery is that the U. S.Food and medicine Administration does not approve cosmetic saline implants for women under eighteen (Markowitz, 2012, para. 2). In the United Kingdom, a teen has to be at least sixteen years of age for whatever breast augmentations or related surgery. There are disallow factors to consider when it comes to teens having plastic surgery. As with any surgical procedure, the comp shew is very expensive. Most insurances do not cover c osmetic procedures. There are plenty of risks and complications snarled as well. For example, a 17 year old Florida teen died afterward having breast surgery.Doctors said the cause of her death was cancerous hyperthermia, which is a disused metabolic condition that can be triggered by true anesthesia. It raises a patients philia rate and metabolism, do the body temperature to rise as high as 112 degrees. Some guess she was too young to handle the anesthesia (Rose, 2008, para. 3). There are some negative psychological effects as well. Some teens are chasing a specious perception, and end up not cosmos happy with the end result. Some believe teens will become addicted to plastic surgery, and think of it as a fast fix. There are some psychological make headways as well. Teens gain self-esteem and confidence when their tangible problems are corrected. umteen teens welcome the changes because it can mean existence in a less bullied state, which can lead to normal life. Fi xing these conditions can alleviate teasing and bullying. Another benefit to plastic surgery is that it fixes deformities and body parts, reservation them functional. A common deformity that plastic surgeons fix is pass palates. A sally palate is a certain facial deformity that prevents a child from using the mouth properly. This can affect their capacity to eat, drink, and talk. Sometimes a plastic surgeon can repair this deformity to better the childs appearance as well as the functionality of the affected body part. I am about 95 percent against children and teens having plastic surgery. I only agree with it if it is for the bearing of restoring the function of body parts. Teens bodies are not fully highly-developed at that age, and most likely their bodies will change for the better. I also wear upont believe teens are mature enough to be making a decision that poses risks and that will change their appearance forever.References Cosmetic Surgery. (2007). Thefreedictionary. com. Economics of Organisation Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 3750 words
Economics of Organisation - Essay ExampleIn this article, Ribstein (2002) argues that since promontorys do not directly participate in the periodic decision-making process, they lose the ability to influence the practice on how decisions are made. Likewise, once the voters delegate their duties to the politicians, the politicians could opt to follow their interests rather than those of the agents. In addition, in such a relationship, the voters become the hostage of the politicians. The principal-agency problem can further be extrapolated to the health sector, where the health providers can act as imperfect agents of patients by prescribing unnecessary drugs. This piece assesses the principal-agency problems in explaining failures of corporate governance. The paper further examines how the recent regulatory framework has been used to mitigate the principal- agent problem. 2. 0 The principal-agency theory In the article, Theory of the menage managerial behavior, agency costs and ow nership structure, Jensen and Meckling, suggest managers as being the agents of the shareholders (Huber, 2002). The principal model guides agency relationships where the shareholders, otherwise known as the principals, delegates duties to the agents to act on their behalf. The model is defined by a number of features, which are defined in the following section. Firstly, as suggested by Bodie, Alex and Alan, agents undertake actions, which determine the payoff to the principal (2002). In other words, the effort of the agent determines the profits realized by the principal. Secondly, within a principal-agent relationship, the concept of information symmetry arises. In this regard, the principals can be able to observe the outcomes of agents actions but monitoring the agents actions is almost impossible. In instances where an imperfect contract exists, the agents could be encouraged to act to carry out actions that benefit their interests, and the accident of a moral hazard happening becomes even more real if there is a large information asymmetry. To address the problem of information asymmetry, the principals could retch in place monitoring mechanisms and initiate incentive contracts. The board of directors remains one of the common used weapons, in reduction of information symmetry by monitoring and ratifying the most important decisions carried out by the management. Beside acting on the behalf of the shareholders, the board of directors is also supposed to control resource allocation and accompanying risks. Thirdly, the agent-principal relationships fatigue that agents preferences differ from the principals. When the agents and the principals have differing risk preferences a conflict of interest occurs. Just to illustrate further, the shareholders may be risk-averse while the management is risk-neutral, which content the management is incentivized to make risky decisions against the will of their principals. If such a situation happens, the board of dir ectors is mandated to ensure the interest of the management, and the shareholders are aligned. To deal with the challenges that are associated with the principal-agent relationships, the principals may government issue to outcome-based incentives. This

Experts argue that such a possibility is technically probable. The US Military is known to have engineered and unleashed such vir designs both for test purposes as well as in a quest to gain ground as part of strategic initiatives in enemy territory. However, that does not mean that one must point the first finger straight towards them. However, such a stance on the part of governments would sucker a crime against humanity that is aimed intentionally towards unleashing biological weapons into the open (Gina Kolata, 2007).However, this also leads one to believe whether governments have been indulging in crimes against humanity on a routine basis. The US is the only known country to have dropped nuclear bombs on civilian populations during the Second World War. Israel is known to have made use of white phosphorus in its fight against the Palestinians. Hitler sent millions of Jews to the gas chambers and Americans used to fire rounds made of depleted uranium into Iraqi targets and Afghanistan. As such, unleashing a biological weapon in a huge city such as Mexico city is no big deal beyond the current capabilities of directlys governments in achieving what they intend to do (Ethne Barnes, 2008).All along human history, al around all crimes against humanity are known to originate from the deeds of governments whereby most of such crimes have been committed in the name of peace,

Economics of Education Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words - 1
Economics of Education - Assignment ExampleHanushek uses statistical analysis, typically regression analysis, to analyze results from a total of 137 studies. He samples the work to little groups depending on the number of researches that used a given parameter. He investigates three main factors that have greatly been used to determine basic naturalise phthisiss that is to say schools, expenditure and achievement. According to most researches, instructional expenditures accounts for approximately two thirds of a schools expenditure. Instructional expenditures are determined by class sizes and instructor salaries. For these reason, he sampled a total of 7 expenditure parameters used in a majority of the investigated studies. These parameters include instructor/pupil ratio, teacher experience, teacher education, teacher salary, administrative inputs, expenditure/pupil, and facilities. By analyzing the impact of each of these parameters, Hanushek sought to confront that there is no strong correlation between the level of expenditure and the school performance and therefore, school policies should not be formulated based on this (Hanushek ). He carried out extensive regression analysis to show how results from different studies were statistically insignificant with the use of the seven parameters. The second study by Hedges et al. reanalyzes the literature review done by Hanushek. The researchers in this case began by setting a null hypothesis that the educational resource inputs do not have an impact on the performance of pupils. They used different statistical methods of analysis and the same(p) data used by Hanushek to show that Hanusheks vote count was inconsistent with the null hypothesis. They used a normal curve to show how the conclusions failed to get word basics of statistics analysis. Among the defects they were able to show in Hanusheks work include failure to provide indications for the effects magnitude and using vote counting, yet it depicts dispirited power in detecting defects. They concluded that Hanushek made a type II statistical analysis error by using this statistical method. To classify the mistakes in Hanusheks work, they used sophisticated procedures namely combined significance tests and effect magnitude analysis. Combined significance tests are done by combination the p-values of significance values from all the studies that test similar conceptual hypothesis but uses different outcome measures and designs. Using this method, Hedge et al were able to show that there is a significant positive relationship between input resources and student performance. Effect magnitude analysis method is a method where coefficients from sovereign studies are combined. This method of analysis was also able to show a positive relationship between school inputs and performance. They used standard deviation methods to regulate both inputs as well as outputs. Question 2 Although both studies used the same data set to analyz e the data, they had different conclusions. Hanushek concluded that expenditure was statistically insignificant on student performance, while Hedge et al concluded that all the seven inputs had a positive effect on student performance. According to Hedge et al, the amount of expenditure input can help improve general student and school performance. These differences in conclusion are

How East-Asian Martial Films Have Influenced Hollywood Cinema - Literature analyse ExampleThis genre has been know to incorporate richly detailed choreographed action scenes with high-flying kicks and martial art techniques. When it was first seen in Asia, it was far-removed from the American remove genre and style. However, it short became a common feature in the Hong Kong film industry (Michallet-Romero, 2003). While trying to preserve the traditional stories of Chinese heroes, Hong Kong film directors translated martial arts techniques into film and in the process influenced the Hollywood film industry. The Wuxia tales in Chinese history were representations of male and female sword masters who represented much heroism in their actions (Garnet, 1999). These tales of heroism were developed in an era dominated by Confucianism and the teachings of this religion. Confucius was very much focused on loyalty, obedience, and on fulfilling sensations duty to ones family. The father was considered the head of the household and as such total respect was owed him by the rest of the family (Morgan, 2001). Confucius also advocated the belief that those who were stronger must protect the weak, the aged, and those who were unable(p) to defend themselves. Confucius also supported the ideal leader, ordering his warriors to live their lives with dignity and with valour. From these teachings grew wuxia literature. This literature was also enriched by the stories of the Buddhist religious leader Siddartha Gautama (Michallet-Romero, 2003). Buddhas teachings incarnate philosophical beliefs to the wuxia tales and also advocated the idea of alleviating the sufferings of man. Physical disciplines were later associated with Buddhism and Confucianism and these movements were meant to provoke a persons chi, which is considered to be the life force of all beings (Michallet-Romero, 2003). ... iplines were later associated with Buddhism and Confucianism and these movements were mean t to enhance a persons chi, which is considered to be the life force of all beings (Michallet-Romero, 2003). These heroes were often known to travel alone, exemplifying their strong skills in martial arts and sword play (Desser, 2002). The relationship of master and student within these stories were also apparent. The wuxia tales also presented the virtues of justice, valour, and cede for the greater good of the people. The protagonists were also usually of common lineage and with skill and training gained much prestige (Birrell, 1999). This protagonist was very much different from the protagonists portrayed in Western stories where the heroes were often of noble blood. Wuxia folklore eventually made its way into the c ommon and the noble people of China and these stories were retold with slight changes in their characterizations, making them darker and blemish and somehow representing a danger to those who were weak. Due to these changes in their characterization, the heroes were often made to confront their dark side as well (Birrell, 1999). Eventually however, this wuxian hero would be able to redeem himself by favouring the original teachings of Buddhism and Confucianism, harnessing enough chi to make the ultimate sacrifice for the people. These wuxia tales became popular forms of literature in China and they became common themes among travelling groups of actors in China. When the Peking Opera was

It is in fact, an organized crime and operates through the hellhole. Hence, people feel that legalizing drugs could perhaps improve the situation to rough extent. In my opinion, no drugs should be given the legal status. The trafficking of illegal drug takes place as mentioned, through the underworld. It is exchanged through the land and sea hold between countries. An international law is necessary where all countries concerned get together to catch the players of this game. The drug users are the backbone of the business. This means to combat the business of dr ugs one has to start at the grass root level. direction has to be imparted at the school level. This education does not merely mean educating on the dangers of drugs. It should include, rather stress on the nexus between drugs business and the underworld crime. This is a mammoth task, which cannot be tackled by the government or law alone. It is a chronic problem in the society and the society as a whole has to handle it. Teachers, parents, school authorities, church, all have a role to play.
